JNCASR invite application for Research Programmes - MID-YEAR ADMISSIONS 2020

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU CENTRE FOR ADVANCED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH (JNCASR - A Deemed University), An Autonomous Institution under Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, Bangalore, invite application for the admission to Research Programmes [(Ph.D/ MS(Engg.) / MS(Research)] in Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit (CPMU), Engineering Mechanics Unit (EMU), Evolutionary and Integrative Biology Unit (EIBU), New Chemistry Unit (NCU).


Last date for submission of applications online 30.11.2020

(Only online applications are considered)


Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their qualifying University examination and have a valid GATE / JEST /GPAT or UGC -/ CSIR - NET-JRF/ / ICMR - JRF / DBT-JRF/ INSPIRE-JRF by 1st January 2021


Candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in the National Entrance Test and/or academic performance. The selection is based on the performance in the interview (in some of the Units, an aptitude test/preliminary interview will precede the interview/final interview)



Note;

JNCASR offer Masters Programme in Chemistry for B.Sc. graduates to pursue main stream chemistry, with an option to specialize in Materials Chemistry or Chemical Biology


Applications to this programme will be invited once during every year by means of advertisement on the web site and in newspapers. Candidates who have passed B.Sc. with 55 % or those who are appearing can apply. Those candidates who are having JAM score can also apply. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for written test at JNCASR. Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates.
