JOINT ADMISSION TEST FOR MASTERS (JAM) 2025

Computer Based Test (CBT) for JAM 2025 Examination will be held on February 2, 2025 (Sunday) for seven subjects

Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics – Forenoon

Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical statistics and Physics - Afternoon


The duration of the examination will be of 3 hours

There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks


Section - A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).  


Among given four choices only one choice is the correct answer. Wrong answer will result in negative marks. 

10 questions of one mark each 1/3 mark will be deducted for wrong answers  

20 questions of two marks each 2/3 mark will be deducted for wrong answers  


Section - B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each.


Among four given choices any number of choices can be correct and all correct answers only will give full credit. There are no negative and no partial marking provisions. 


Section - C: 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The answer is a signed (+/-) real number, which needs to be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor.

No choices will be shown for NAT questions. There are no negative marks
