IIT Palakkad Invite Application for Admission to Ph D course Dec 2020

Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad invites application for admission to Ph D course commencing on December 2020.

Candidate with good academic records and having high GATE score or received UGC - JRF/NET/CSIR/ DAE-JEST scholar ship can apply online by September 30, 2020.

The departments will publish a shortlist of candidates who are qualified to appear for the interview on or before Oct. 16, 2020.

Shortlisted candidates have to submit a statement of purpose (SOP) in support of their application in about 500 words in pdf format on or before October 23rd.

Due to covid 19 spread online interview will be conducted through video conferencing During November 2 – 20, 2020.

The list of selected candidates will be published on 27 November 2020. On payment of fees they will be provisionally admitted and will have a faculty member as supervisor. They have to attend the on line course as per schedule.

Research areas that exist in chemistry department were Mechano-chemistry, Structure and dynamics of polymers and supramolecules, Nanostructures for biomedicine, Materials chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis, Organic macromolecules - Design, synthesis and applications, Chemical biology and bio-organic chemistry, Equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics of soft matter, Theoretical biophysical chemistry and molecular dynamics simulations, Experimental biophysical chemistry and fluorescence spectroscopy.

Analytical facilities

HPLC, LCMS, TG-DTA-MS, Bench-top NMR, FT-IR, Chemisorption, UV-vis and Fluorescence spectrophotometer

Raman spectrophotometer and an electron microscope will be installed very soon at the Central Instrumentation Facility of IIT Palakkad
