Assistant/Associate Professor in Chemistry at IIT Palakkad

Application is invited for Contract Appointment of Assistant professor grade 1 (Level 12 - Rs.101500 - Rs.167400) and Associate professor (Level 13A2 -Rs.139600 - Rs.211300) for one year at IIT Palakkad.

CHEMISTRY

Those having Ph .D in relevant area of research - Theoretical Chemistry (with specialization in quantum mechanics, materials or organic synthesis based applications) was eligible to apply. For the post of Assistant Professor, the candidates should be below 40 years of age and preferably below 35 years and for Associate Professor, below 45 years of age and preferably below 40 years.

QUALIFICATION

Ph.D., with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with consistently good academic record throughout.

EXPERIENCE: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

At least 6 years industrial / research / teaching experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.

EXPERIENCE: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR GR.I

At least 3 years industrial / research / teaching experience excluding, however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. Those with Ph.D., but having experience less than three years, will be considered for Assistant Professor Grade II.
